Suburban residence

In 2007, a real estate developer bought his dream home: a large colonial house on seven suburban acres overlooking a 175-acre natural preserve. He dreamed of an addition to recall his travels to the mountains of Montana and the ranches of Wyoming. Relying on master architect Alfred Dragon, the owner wished for the mood of a Frank Lloyd Wright home.

We joined the team to interpret the western influence in the interior design. First came wooden beams for ceilings and paneling, then custom Navajo-print carpets and colonial western furnishings, including an authentic tooled leather chest, all against a palette of sunset colors.
